The Bendixen Family

Our Story...

Known as “Bear” since childhood, Barak Bendixen started out as an apprentice in his father’s Michigan business, AIR Heating and Refrigeration, which was founded in 1982. Because of his early training, he met the qualifications and acquired his mechanical contractor license by the age of 19—one of the youngest in the state to qualify. He spent several decades working with his family, building up the business, training new recruits, organizing jobs, and managing the crew.

After 30 years with AIR Heating and Refrigeration, Bear and his wife were ready to start a new venture. They launched a new location in central Florida by the name of Bear’s Air.

Bear and his sweet wife, Amanda, make an awesome duo. Bear is the professional and friendly technician, while Amanda helps run the office. 

Their four amazing kids add even more to the team. The oldest is learning bookkeeping skills like her Mama. And the three boys are already learning the skills of the trade!
